on a nowhere train
On an endless track.
I try to move ahead
But I keep turning back--
Down familiar lines
To the same old place--
Somebody get me off
This nowhere train.
When you’re goin’ nowhere
You take your seat and wait.
You got no destination
So you’re never ever late.
The track just keeps on turnin’
Like the spinning hands of time.
You roll on day and night and day
And every corner’s blind.
