Cinderella’s sometimes drifting up an down the hall
Dreaming daydreams ‘bout the great big chance
Will anyone invite her to the magic crystal ball,
Will a prince charming ask her to dance
Cinderella always cries before she falls asleep
Winter, summer, springtime even fall
She thinks she’s born a loser and makes her sweep
She knows for sure her feet are way too small
Cinderella’s full of sorrow
Wishing ‘till in dreams she falls apart
No one knows about tomorrow
And all good things are coming from the heart
Cinderella never sees her footprints in the sand
She’s losing all belief in good romance
Will anybody notice her? Will someone in the end?
But life’s what’s happening to you while you’re making
Other plans
Cinderella’s full of sorrow
